Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy sets out how the Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA) uses and protects information given to the Association.

The FPA is committed to ensuring privacy is protected. Information provided will be used only in accordance with this privacy policy.

The FPA reviews this policy annually. If it is updated, the new policy will be posted on the website.

Whilst using FPA services and visiting our website, you are consenting and agreeing to the practices outlined in this statement. 

The FPA needs to collect and use information about the people with whom it works in order to operate and carry out its functions.

Collecting Data
We collect information including name, business name, business address, email and telephone, from members on joining the FPA. Information is collected in order for members to be kept informed by email, of news, events, policies and guidance papers, and for invoicing purposes.   No private personal information is collected, unless this is specifically requested by a member, for example to have the Digest sent to a private personal email address.  

Data Use 
In the case of members, data is held in order to communicate with member companies and their employees, sharing information about the campaigns, activities and events of the FPA.

In the case of suppliers, data is held in order to contact suppliers in relation to services that they have provided or that they might provide in the future.

In the case of industry contacts and potential members, data is held to enable the FPA to engage with the industry, promote its aims and attract new members.

Data records 
Data will not be kept for longer than is strictly necessary. Data will be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to individuals.

Data is kept for up to six years after a member leaves the FPA to enable the Association to contact former members. Data will be considered out of date and deleted after this point.

Supplier data will be held for up to six years from the date on which the FPA last did business with them.

Data for industry contacts and potential members will be held for up to six years from the date on which the FPA last actively engaged with the contact.

Anyone who requests removal from the contact list will be removed. The opportunity to opt out is included in every electronic communication.

Data security
The FPA is committed to ensuring information is kept secure. All data is accessed by a strictly limited number of people and is the system is protected with local and cloud-based security. 

Personal information
The FPA will never disclose, sell, distribute or lease personal information to third parties.
