With Glasgow the focus of increasing attention in the run up to COP26, Keep Scotland Beautiful, in collaboration with five coffee retailers and Glasgow City Council, has relaunched its successful #TakeItBack campaign alongside the #ChooseToReuse campaign, so giving the public an option.
Customers are encouraged to take cups back to Caffè Nero, Costa Coffee, McDonald’s, Pret A Manger and Starbucks.
Anna Richardson, City Convener for Sustainability and Carbon Reduction, said: “I’m delighted to see the return of the #ChooseToReuse and #TakeItBack campaigns. Initiatives such as this encourage consumers to be more conscious of the environmental impacts. The introduction of the new interactive map will show Glaswegians just how easy it is to #TakeItBack.” Excellent work by all involved.
