WRAP Voluntary Agreement for Foodservice Industry

WRAP has issued their discussion paper for the proposed Hospitality and Food Service Voluntary Agreement which Secretary of State, Caroline Spelman made recent reference to in Parliament.

In consultation with other organisations in hospitality, catering and packaging we will be making a response by 11 January 2012. The aim if the Agreement is to reduce food and associated packaging waste and a launch date  of Spring 2012 is targetted.
We would be grateful for your comments by 3 January 2012.

It is reassuring to see packaging increasingly positioned as part of the solution and not the problem and we should be clear about our thoughts on Agreement ensuring it doesn’t represent a further cost on business.
