Paper Recovery Alliance Launched in USA

Our United States’ equivalent the Foodservice Packaging Institute has formed an alliance of organisations from raw material providers right through to high street operators to seek solutions for the recovery and recycling of used paper foodservice packaging. Here in the UK a number of FPA members have been working with The Paper Cup Recovery and Recycling group and Save A Cup for a number of years so perhaps we are more developed in this area than our USA counterparts. Nonetheless it is important we take the opportunity to review our role in the UK with regard to developing similar initiatives. Not just with paper based packaging but across every single material represented by our membership. A discussion point for the seminar perhaps.
